Ah, is very interesting discussion I had with Winter Soldier! Soviet serum was... how you say... more rough around edges. Not so refined like American version. But still made me strong like bear! Bucky and I compare notes during mission - his serum gives more agility, mine more raw power. Is like vodka versus whiskey - different, but both get job done!
